Cynthia (Cindi) served 41 years in 5 Annual Conferences (Western North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon/Idaho, Michigan and Mindanao) and 2 nations (USA and the Philippines) as a pastor and a missionary from June 1,1985 to July 1, 2026.
She served in small rural churches, town churches and larger city churches and in rural mountains on the island of Mindanao in the Republic of the Philippines.
Her passion has always been to spread the good news of God’s love in Christ through Spirit led renewal of the church by helping build biblically functioning communities in each local Kingdom outpost (i.e. local church) where love for God and others trumped human agendas and selfishness.
Mother, Grandmother, Sister, friend, Pastor, Teacher, Spiritual director, lover of animals and children, Cindi chose to follow the call even when society said a woman should not be allowed. When told she didn’t do things like past male pastors she gently reminded people she was not a man. She led as the Holy Spirit, and the word of God led her. She considered herself more a “sheep dog” to the Great Shepherd than a shepherd herself.
To all the congregations she has served, she is forever grateful. She loved serving beside fellow servants of the Lord. Her heart is full as she steps out of ordained ministry and into whatever the Lord has for her next.
