Thanks to the UM Foundation, each registered attendee will receive five $1 Mission Bucks at registration check-in to be spent at the Mission Festival. Registrants can purchase additional Mission Bucks, and the UM Foundation will match donations up to $5. This means that if you’re registered and donate $5, you’ll have $15 to spend at the Mission Festival, seeding and supporting missions! Each table will have a collection box for your donations. Mission Festival Musician - Rev. Sari Brown
Sari Brown is a priestess of song, dance, and kitchen magic ordained as an Elder in the Michigan UMC. She is the founder and director of The Healing Feast, an organization that creates outside the box spiritual community promoting healing connections with self, others, the earth, and the sacred. She is also the Worship Arts Coordinator at Sycamore Creek Church Eastwood. Sari has been a singer/songwriter for over 20 years and at the Mission Fair this year she will be sharing some of her folk/soul originals and covers that inspire us to serve the needs of our world with joy, creativity, liberating vision, and radical abundance.
Mission Festival
The Mission Festival is sponsored this year by the United Methodist Foundation of Michigan. Close to 40 missions will be present, eager to introduce you to their causes and discuss how you can help. Desserts, music and camp games will take place in and around the white Plaza tent. This year’s missions included:
